Some context​

The existing implementation is based on Asterisk's Queue application from the app_queue asterisk module. This asterisk application is powerful and suitable for the ring group feature, as it allows a call to ring on a number of destinations simultaneously or following a specific distribution strategy, and be answered by any of a group of participants(the queue members).

During 2 days, the Kamailio developers (The well-known SIP proxy) met in Dusserdolf in the wonderful places of SipgateDE.

An important subject was approached in detail: KEMI (Kamailio Embedded Interface). KEMI start with the 5th Kamailio version.

KEMI is a framework allowing to use a language other than native language to program our Kamailio engine. With KEMI, we can use Javascript, LUA, Python, LUA, Ruby and Squirrel.

This guide will show how to quickly get a development environment of Wazo Platform inside a virtual machine to run the acceptance tests. To do so, we will use libvirt, virt-installer and the Wazo Platform iso.

We are excited to release today the latest version of Wazo Platform!

Wazo Platform is an Open Source project allowing to build carrier grade programmable IP communication infrastructures. You can pick and choose the components you need to build your infrastructures.

It is designed so as to let you choose the components you need to build your infrastructures with:

• Class 5 features such as audio and video calls, chat, call centers, conferences, voicemail, etc.,
• Class 4 features like security, routing, load balancing, etc.

You can augment the platform and integrate it with your subscription and billing capabilities or any value-added services like Speech to Text, A.I. or sentiment analysis.

These communication infrastructures can be deployed and scaled on bare metal, virtual machines or containers.
